Enrichment Programmes

I'm sure you have seen on television or read in your teaching magazines about the positive impact of healthy eating and exercise on the academic performance of students? If you haven't, let me summarise the findings for you.

Firstly, there have been numerous studies into the positive effects of exercise on physical and mental health. However, more recently, the research has shown a direct correlation between the amount of daily exercise and the performance in examinations. As a general rule, the more exercise completed per day, the better the students perform in their studies.

Secondly, as you know, we care more about our children than just academic performance and the issues with body image and self esteem among teenagers (predominantly female) is a growing concern. The inclusion of health and fitness education is vital in helping young people to recognise the importance of exercise and give them the tools to do it correctly.

I specialise in health, fitness and personal training. I have delivered all kinds of classes and one-to-one sessions to a vast array of clients, ranging from all ages and levels of fitness.

I am offering enrichment sessions to sixth form centres to try and promote health and fitness, to tackle negative body image, to raise self-esteem and improve confidence, while the effect of this is proven to increase the student's performance in exams. A healthy body, is a healthy mind.
